What’s a good cheap digital camera that can take clear close-up pictures of pages in books?
Please base your answer upon YOUR OWN PERSONAL experience, not something you heard or read.

To thesecitiessleep: Scanners break the bindings and spines of old books when they must be laid flat in order to scan a page. I need a good camera whereby I can hold the book safely open a bit and snap a photo that will show copyright-page details or an author’s signature, etc. Thanks for your answer though.
To joeluis: I need to be able to post these images to eBay or email them to people. If I had to take a 35mm picture, get it developed, and then use a scanner to create a digital image, that would take way too long. Thanks for the answer though.
Nikon cameras are the once recommended for close-ups. They have good macro mode upto 1cm as well.
If you are shooting in a low light condition, you need to use a tripod stand to make sure that you don’t get camera shake.
